Softball Recap: Green Run Takes a Loss

After flying high against Indian River on Monday, Green Run came back down to earth. Green Run lost 17-1 to the Princess Anne Cavaliers on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Stallions in their meetings with the Cavaliers: they've now lost five in a row.

Green Run saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chyann Soule, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI. Jasiyah Liverman also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Green Run now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Princess Anne, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Green Run is set to challenge their familiar foe Kempsville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Princess Anne will square off against rival Ocean Lakes at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
