            Slippery Rock will head out to  take on Titusville  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The last four games Slippery Rock has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Slippery Rock couldn't beat Hickory  on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the sixth inning. The Rockets fell just short of the Hornets by a score of  6-5.

  Isaac McCandless was cooking despite his team's loss,   getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  stolen base and one  run. He has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times he's  played.
Meanwhile, Titusville came tearing into  Monday's  matchup with four straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Oilers  a   10-0 shutout. Considering the Rockets have won seven contests by more than six  runs this season, Monday's  blowout was nothing new.
Titusville's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Jaxon Covell, who  went 3-for-4 with three  runs, three  RBI,  and two  doubles. That's the most  RBI  Covell has posted since back in May of 2024.  Ian McDonald was another,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs and one  RBI.
 Titusville  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 13  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least ten  hits in five consecutive  games.
 Slippery Rock's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Titusville, their victory bumped their record up to 15-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp  on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Slippery Rock has been swiping bases left and right this season,  having  averaged 3.1  stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Titusville struggles in that department as   they've been averaging  an even more impressive 4  stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
 Slippery Rock took their  win against Titusville  when the teams last played  back in April by a conclusive  10-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for Slippery Rock since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
