Basketball Game Preview: Hamilton Huskies vs. Rincon/University Rangers

The Hamilton Huskies will face off against the Rincon/University Rangers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Hamilton heads in on the heels of a playoff match on Thursday. They fell 61-50 to Sunnyslope.

Meanwhile, Rincon/University slipped by Cibola 48-47 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rangers.

Rincon/University found their leader in sophomore Leila O'Dowd, who dropped a double-double with 30 points and 13 boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which O'Dowd has scored at least a third of Rincon/University's points. Another player making a difference was Sabrina Wexler, who posted nine points along with six rebounds and five assists.

Rincon/University's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-8. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points over those games. As for Hamilton, their loss dropped their record down to 16-12.
