Softball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Hollister

Hollister got themselves on the board against Hanford on Friday, but Hanford never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Bullpups with a sharp 10-0 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Haybalers, who have now won four contests in a row.

Bella Casas looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Hollister got a massive performance out of Abbigayle Butler, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave Butler a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Galindo, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one triple.

Hollister kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hanford only managed one.

Hollister's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Hanford, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Hollister has already played their next matchup, a 12-5 defeat against King on the 13th. As for Hanford, they are on the road again on Saturday to play Encinal at 9:00 a.m.
