It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Wellsboro ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Troy Trojans 3-2. Wellsboro better thank their lucky stars for the performance of Jonathan Carl, as he scored every single goal for his team.

The victory made it two in a row for Wellsboro and bumps their season record up to 6-2. As for Troy, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
