Soccer Recap: Swansboro Comes Up Short

After flying high against West Carteret last Thursday, Swansboro came back down to earth. The Pirates fell 2-0 to the Dixon Bulldogs on Thursday. One thing that didn't help Swansboro's chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Fletcher Panos.

Swansboro has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Dixon, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3.

Swansboro didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Havelock on the 6th. As for Dixon, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Richlands on the 7th.
