 Bigelow had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 runs), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  7-6  win over the South Side Hornet. For Bigelow, this counts as revenge for the   12-5 loss South Side walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in April of 2023.
  Julia Bourne spent all seven innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned  (and four unearned) runs on seven hits.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Carley Camp, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  stolen  at least one in the last three games she's  played.  Hana Staples was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-3.
 On South Side's side,  Maggie Bradford was cooking despite her team's loss,   scoring a  run while going 2-for-4.
 Even though they lost, South Side  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with seven  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bigelow only tossed three.
 Bigelow is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five matchups,  which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record  this season. As for South Side, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-5-1.
 Bigelow will head out on the road to  take on  Poyen at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. Bigelow is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road. As for South Side, they will look to defend their home field  on Thursday against Clinton at 1:00  p.m. Clinton will be hoping to continue their four-game streak of scoring more  runs each  game than the last.
