Baseball Recap: Elkmont Takes a Loss

If Elkmont was feeling good fresh off their 15-5 takedown of Oakman on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Elkmont fell 5-1 to the Lauderdale County Tigers on Friday. The Red Devils were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 8-1.

Elkmont's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 15-7. As for Lauderdale County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elkmont will challenge West Morgan at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Lauderdale County, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Lauderdale County Tigers face off against West Limestone Wildcats at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
