            Football Recap: Lincoln Lions vs. Johnston Panthers        
        
		
        
        
            It was a proper cat-fight when Lincoln challenged Johnston on Friday. The Lions took  a  36-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in October of 2024.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Johnston to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Yadier Grullon, who picked up 137 receiving yards and one  score. Those  137  receiving yards gave  Grullon a new career-high. Johnston also got help from  Lyalo Harrison-Perez, who showed off his sure hands for 84  receiving yards.
Lincoln is  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-4. As for Johnston, the  win was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincoln will take on Coventry at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Johnston, they will look to defend their home field  on Friday against East Greenwich  at 6:00  p.m.
