Bald Eagle Area had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Avonworth Antelopes on Monday as they made off with  an  8-2 win. The  victory was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on 15 straight.
 Sierra Albright spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts any time she's  pitched this season.
 On the hitting side,  Alexa Baney and  Kailey Eckert did most of the damage at the plate:  Baney  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with two  runs, while  Eckert  went 2-for-4 with two  runs and two  RBI. Those  two  RBI gave  Eckert a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Sydney Thompson, who  went 2-for-4 with two  RBI and one  double.
 Bald Eagle Area was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .417. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .304 or higher in three consecutive  matches.
Bald Eagle Area's win was  their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 20-3. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Avonworth,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 10-7.
