Basketball Game Preview: Bloomfield Bees vs. Chambers/Wheeler Central Renegades

The Bloomfield Bees will venture away from home to challenge the Chambers/Wheeler Central Renegades at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bloomfield has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Having struggled with eight losses in a row, Bloomfield turned things around against Randolph on Tuesday. They took down the Cardinals 54-40.

Benjamin Dodge and Beau Eisenhauer were among the main playmakers for Bloomfield as the former posted 15 points and the latter scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Jacob Smith, who had eight points.

Meanwhile, Chambers/Wheeler Central played a tough contest on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against St. Mary's, falling 66-39. The Renegades were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-15.

Chambers/Wheeler Central has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Bloomfield, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-10.

Bloomfield couldn't quite finish off Chambers/Wheeler Central in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 and fell 46-44. Can Bloomfield avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
