Basketball Recap: El Capitan Takes a Loss

El Capitan lost against Mount Miguel back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The El Capitan Vaqueros took a 66-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mount Miguel Matadors. The Vaqueros have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why El Capitan lost, don't look at Jason Wilson. Despite the final result, he went 7-for-13 on his way to 23 points and three steals. Wilson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ricardo Silva, who posted six points.

El Capitan's record is now 7-21. As for Mount Miguel, their victory bumped their record up to 12-13.

As of now, neither El Capitan nor Mount Miguel have any future games scheduled.
