Basketball Recap: Ingomar Piles Up the Points Against Water Valley

Ingomar won the last time they faced Water Valley and things went their way on Friday too. The Ingomar Falcons claimed a resounding 63-19 victory over the Water Valley Blue Devils. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 19 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Ingomar's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Macie Phifer led the charge by going 8 of 10 en route to 17 points. The contest was Phifer's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Phifer, who posted nine points and six steals.

Ingomar was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Ingomar's win was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 23-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.3 points. As for Water Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.

Ingomar will square off against Bruce at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ingomar knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 matches -- so hopefully Bruce likes a good challenge. As for Water Valley, they will challenge Palmer at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Water Valley is facing Palmer at the right time seeing as Palmer is stuck on a 17-game losing streak.
