Basketball Game Preview: Lassiter Trojans vs. Roswell Hornets

The Lassiter Trojans will take on the Roswell Hornets at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Lassiter is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Chestatee 72-27 on Monday. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-14.

Lassiter can attribute much of their success to Braeden Lucas, who went 6 for 8 on his way to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlie Wright, who posted six points and six assists.

Lassiter was working as a unit and finished the game with 25 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Roswell earned a 65-55 victory over Blessed Trinity on Friday. The matchup marked the Hornets' most dominant win of the season.

Roswell's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-8. As for Lassiter, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.

Lassiter strolled past Roswell in their previous matchup back in November of 2024 by a score of 65-51. Does Lassiter have another victory up their sleeve, or will Roswell turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
