The St. Pius X Sartans will head out on the road to square off against the Belen Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Pius X is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.1 runs per game this season.

On Saturday, St. Pius X didn't have quite enough to beat Lovington and fell 2-1. The Sartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. Pius X saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Diamor Ibarra-Villegas, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Belen unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against West Las Vegas, falling 13-3.

St. Pius X's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Belen, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.

St. Pius X skirted past Belen 11-9 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will the Sartans repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
