Baseball Recap: Mount Greylock Regional Takes a Loss

Mount Greylock Regional extended their losing streak to seven on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 5-12 in the process. They lost 8-2 to the Mount Anthony Patriots. If the Mounties were looking for revenge after losing 5-4 to the Patriots when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mount Greylock Regional saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jameson Bayliss, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

As for Mount Anthony, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by six runs or more this season.

On Mount Anthony's side, Jacoby Dicranian was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Talin Bartholdi, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Coming up, Mount Greylock Regional will challenge McCann Tech at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mount Anthony, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Brattleboro at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Patriots 2.4, the Bears 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
