Volleyball Recap: Shaw Takes a Loss

If Shaw was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Kendrick on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Raiders came up short against the Columbus Blue Devils on Wednesday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Raiders have suffered since August 28th.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-16, 25-8.

Jaslyn Watts was nothing short of spectacular for Columbus: she had 22 digs and six aces. Those 22 digs gave Watts a new career-high.

Shaw's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Columbus, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-18 record this season.

As of now, neither Shaw nor Columbus have any future games scheduled.
