Baseball Recap: Brentwood Christian Gets the Win

Brentwood Christian came into Thursday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out the Texans Baseball Homeschool Texans 7-5. This was a revenge game for the Bears: when they faced off against the Texans two weeks ago, they had to take a 12-3 defeat.

Jack Henry Gonzales made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Gonzales was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Gonzales wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jack Copeland, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

The win got Brentwood Christian back to even at 3-3. As for Texans Baseball Homeschool, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Coming up, Brentwood Christian will host Hyde Park at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Texans Baseball Homeschool, they will venture away from home to take on Holland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
