Volleyball Recap: James River Midlothian Rapids vs. Granby Comets
With a playoff game on the line, James River Midlothian rose to the challenge on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Granby Comets as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Rapids who have now won six matches in a row.
Granby lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Davis Mendoza, who had 18 digs. Mendoza is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in the last 15 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Will Findlay, who had 12 digs and two aces.
James River Midlothian is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season. As for Granby, the defeat snapped their winning streak at 18 games and leaves them with a 25-3 record.
