Softball Recap: Jordan Red Jackets vs. Sumter County Panthers
Jordan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 16-5 to the Sumter County Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Jackets of the 17-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2022.
Jordan's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Sumter County, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-4 record.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jordan will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Spencer at 5:30 p.m. As for Sumter County, they will face off against Hardaway at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hardaway is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 13.3 runs per game this season.
