Basketball Recap: Mounds View Takes a Loss

After flying high against Irondale last Tuesday, Mounds View came back down to earth. The Mounds View Mustangs fell just short of the Park Wolfpack by a score of 62-59 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Mustangs have suffered since December 10, 2024.

Mounds View has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season. As for Park, with the victory, they broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mounds View will square off against Stillwater at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mounds View knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Stillwater likes a good challenge. Park has already played their next contest (against Cretin-Derham Hall), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
