Friday, 7:30 p.m.
Washington's defending Class 3A state champions travel to Oceanside, Calif., for the Honor Bowl and a matchup with Serra. Bellevue is ranked No. 13 nationally by MaxPreps.

Alemany (Mission Hills, Calif.) at Eastside Catholic (Sammamish)
Friday, 7 p.m.
In another California vs. Washington showdown, 2013 Class 3A runner-up Eastside Catholic looks to make a statement behind junior quarterback Harley Kirsch. Alemany crushed Los Osos of Rancho Cucamonga 44-15 in its opener.

Friday, 7:30 p.m.
A unique opener between last year's finalists in the 4A classification. Camas will attempt to turn the tables after suffering a heartbreaking loss in the state championship game last December.

Bothell at Eastlake (Sammamish)
Friday, 7 p.m.
Bothell earned the top spot in the Associated Press preseason 4A poll. The Cougars get a stiff test early against KingCo rival Eastlake, who roared out of the gates in 2013 with wins over Lakes and Eastside Catholic.

Union (Vancouver) at Federal Way
Friday, 6 p.m.
Another matchup between preseason ranked Class 4A powers. Led by speed merchant Chico McClatcher, expectations are particularly high at Federal Way following a 10-3 2014 campaign.

King's (Seattle) at Lynden
Friday, 7 p.m.
Bellevue isn't the only active dynasty in Washington. Lynden has won six of the last eight Class 2A crowns and enters the season ranked No. 1. King's played the Lions tough in a 14-6 loss last year at Husky Stadium as part of the Emerald City Kickoff Classic.
