Soccer Recap: Klein Collins Finds Home Pitch Redemption Against Klein Forest

There's no place like home for Klein Collins, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Klein Forest Eagles a 1-0 shutout on Friday. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while the Eagles are ranked 362nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Klein Collins' one-goal win came courtesy of Xavier Garza, who's now up to four this season.

Klein Collins pushed their record up to 8-4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Klein Forest, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9-1 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Tomball the next time they take the pitch. Klein Forest will host Tomball at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Klein Collins will host them at 12:00 p.m. on February 15th.
