The third road matchup was the charm for Skyline, as they earned their first away win of the season. They walked away with a 9-5 victory over the Capital Golden Eagles on Friday. With that win, the Grizzlies brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.

Taylor Taylor and Izaak Hansen did most of the damage at the plate: Taylor scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2, while Hansen scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs Taylor has posted since back in April of 2024. Truman Sermon also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Skyline picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Capital, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-2.

Skyline has already played their next game, a 7-3 loss against Boise on the 22nd. As for Capital, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-3 win against Reynolds on the 21st.
