Valley Heights scored the most runs they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of Doniphan West by a score of 21-20. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against Doniphan West this season, with their most recent defeat being a 11-6 loss on April 7th.

Krista Porter led a balanced group of hitters, going 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Steinfort, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and two RBI.

Valley Heights has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Doniphan West, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.

Valley Heights wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Onaga on the 1st. Doniphan West does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
