Basketball Game Preview: Covenant Academy Rams vs. Strong Rock Christian Patriots

The Covenant Academy Rams will face off against the Strong Rock Christian Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Covenant Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Strong Rock Christian will be coming in after a defeat.

Covenant Academy took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 59-41 win over John Hancock Academy.

Ryan Stevens was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 15 boards. What's more, he also racked up five assists, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Lucas Fisher was another key player, going 6 of 8 on his way to 12 points and six rebounds.

Covenant Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Strong Rock Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a hard 56-42 fall against Westfield School.

Covenant Academy's record now sits at 7-11. As for Strong Rock Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-11.

Covenant Academy took a serious blow against Strong Rock Christian when the teams last played back in November of 2024, falling 74-35. Can Covenant Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
