Soccer Recap: Palmetto Scholars Academy Snags Seventh Victory in Last Nine Games

Palmetto Scholars Academy kept a clean sheet against Bethune-Bowman on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Mohawks with a sharp 10-0 win. Considering Palmetto Scholars Academy have won eight games by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Bethune-Bowman from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Logan Queen led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for five goals all by himself.

Palmetto Scholars Academy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 45 goals over those nine matches. As for Bethune-Bowman, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-10.

Palmetto Scholars Academy and Bethune-Bowman will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Phoenix see the pitch they'll take on Military Magnet Academy at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Bethune-Bowman, their break will end when they face Calhoun County at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
