Oak Ridge came tearing into Friday's contest with 16 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.1 points), and they left with even more momentum. They took down the Maryville Red Rebels 68-52. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Red Rebels are ranked 93rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Oak Ridge's win was their 22nd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 27-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.5 points over those games. As for Maryville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-17.
