Football Recap: Metea Valley Comes Up Short

Metea Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 42-6 defeat at the hands of the Lincoln-Way East Griffins. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 200th, while the Griffins are ranked third).

Metea Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Lincoln-Way East, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Metea Valley is set to face off against their familiar foe Naperville Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lincoln-Way East will square off against rival Homewood-Flossmoor at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
