Baseball Game Preview: Nyssa Bulldogs vs. Vale Vikings

Nyssa hasn't had much luck against Vale recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are taking a road trip to square off against the Vikings at 4:30 p.m. Nyssa has given up an average of 10.6 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Nyssa fell victim to Burns and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 11-0 to the Hilanders. The game marked the first time this year in which the Bulldogs were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 19 runs the game before, Vale was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They came up short against La Grande, falling 9-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Vikings have suffered since May 13, 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Nyssa and nudges their season record down to 2-5. As for Vale, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-7.

Nyssa couldn't quite get it done against Vale in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 6-3. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
