Vidor is 8-2 against Jasper since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Pirates will face off against the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Vidor has eight straight victories, Jasper has eight straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Vidor barely beat Hardin-Jefferson the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Pirates put the hurt on the Hawks with a sharp 4-0 win on Thursday. Vidor might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by four goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Jasper fell victim to Lumberton and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Raiders, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, Jasper can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 662nd, while Lumberton are ranked 232nd).

Jasper's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Vidor, their victory bumped their record up to 14-1.

Vidor got the 'W' when the teams last played back in March of 2025 against Jasper by a conclusive 9-0 score. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
