Soccer Game Preview: Desert Pines vs. Legacy

The Desert Pines Jaguars will head out to face off against the Legacy Longhorns at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.

Desert Pines' defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past Valley 4-0. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Desert Pines considering their one-goal performance the contest before.

They hit Valley with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Dilan Guzman, Antonio Razo, Jesus Nunez, and Eric Briones.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Legacy's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. Neither they nor Cimarron-Memorial could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time Legacy have been dealt a draw since back in August.

Desert Pines is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3-2 record this season. With that draw, Legacy's record moves to 6-5-2.
