Basketball Recap: Mardela Takes a Loss

Mardela lost against Bennett back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mardela Warriors came up short against the Bennett Clippers, falling 45-22. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 216th, while the Clippers are ranked 106th).

Mardela has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. The win was the third in a row for Bennett, bringing their record for this year to 16-5.

Mardela didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 46-15 loss against Snow Hill on the 19th. Bennett has also already played their next contest (against Delmarva Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
