Volleyball Recap: Liberty Has No Trouble Against Valley View

Liberty had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Valley View on Tuesday. Liberty was the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over Valley View. The Bison not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 5th.

Liberty never let Valley View on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-13, 25-14.

Liberty can attribute much of their success to Somuandina Igwedinma, who had ten kills and three blocks. Igwedinma has been hot, having posted three or more blocks the last six times he's played. Ashtyn Collier was another key player, getting 16 assists and three digs.

Liberty's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Valley View, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Liberty will venture away from home to challenge Hemet at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Valley View has already played their next game (against Moreno Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
