Softball Recap: Lake Dallas Takes a Loss

Lake Dallas fell victim to Krum and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Krum Bobcats, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Falcons' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Lake Dallas saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parker Prewitt, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that Prewitt snagged this season.

Lake Dallas has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-4 record this season. Krum pushed their record up to 14-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coming up, Lake Dallas will head out to challenge Ranchview at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Ranchview has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.82 runs per game on average), something Lake Dallas will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Krum, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Krum Bobcats challenge Panther Creek Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Their pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so Panther Creek's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
