Baseball Recap: Providence Cristo Rey Find Success

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Providence Cristo Rey). Everything went their way against the Tindley Tigers on Monday as they made off with an 18-4 victory. For the Wolves, this counts as revenge for the 21-13 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2023.

The team relied heavily on Jonas Wells, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Robert Weaver was another key player, earning two runs and four stolen bases.

Providence Cristo Rey always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .905. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tindley only posted an OBP of .273.
