Soccer Game Preview: Sandusky vs. Huron

The Sandusky Blue Streaks will head out on the road to square off against the Huron Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Sandusky is headed into Wednesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight matches on Monday. They lost 7-0 to Edison.

Huron hadn't beaten Port Clinton on the road since September 2, 2020 but that history sure didn't bother them on Monday. The Tigers' defense stepped up to hand the Redskins a 1-0 shutout. Huron wouldn't have won without Ava Manner, who scored the game-winner.

Sandusky's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Huron, their win bumped their record up to 6-7-1.

Sandusky might still be hurting after the 7-1 defeat they got from Huron in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Blue Streaks were down 4-0.
