Football Game Preview: Putnam vs. Pendleton

If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Pendleton. They are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Putnam on Friday at 7:00 PM. Pendleton will be hoping to build upon the 34-2 win they picked up against Putnam the last time they played.

Pendleton simply couldn't be stopped last week, as they easily beat Hood River Valley 46-0. The success made it back-to-back wins for Pendleton.

Meanwhile, Putnam didn't finish too far behind, but the team still lost 7-12 to Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts. This makes it the second defeat in a row for Putnam.

Pendleton's win lifted them to 2-0 while Putnam's loss dropped them down to 0-2. We'll see if Pendleton's success rolls on or if Putnam are able to steal their positive momentum.
