Justin Wyatt Jr. Delivers Best Performance of Season

Highland was led to victory by Justin Wyatt Jr., who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Wyatt Jr. wasn't messing around, throwing for 296 yards and five touchdowns on only 18 passes, while also punching in a rushing score. The contest was his third straight with three or more passing touchdowns dating back to last season.

Wyatt Jr. is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Antelope Valley on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Wyatt Jr. saw the Antelopes), he threw for 233 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.

Graham Made His Presence Known in Quartz Hill's 49-0 Victory

Jaden Graham was a major factor in Quartz Hill's victory over Knight on Friday. Graham turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 142 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. Quartz Hill is undefeated when Graham posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 0-3 otherwise.

Quartz Hill now has a winning record of 4-3. Graham will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on Eastside on Friday.

Gavin Houston Delivers Electric Performance Vs Palmdale

Gavin Houston posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 221 yards while picking up 9.2 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 107 rushing yards dating back to last season.

With the loss, Antelope Valley broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-4. Houston and Antelope Valley will stay at home for another week and welcome Highland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

A Season-Best Performance from Marciano Salazar Leads Palmdale over Antelope Valley

Palmdale was led to victory by Marciano Salazar, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Salazar rushed for 114 yards while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making seven total tackles (2.0 for loss).

For the season, Salazar has averaged 24.3 rushing yards per game.

Jayson Wilson Turns in Season-Best Effort

On Thursday, Lancaster got the W thanks in part to Jayson Wilson playing the best football he has all season. Wilson rushed for 77 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 108 yards and a touchdown. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 75-yard run.

The win (which was Lancaster's fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2. It'll be Battle of the Birds when Eagles dukes it out withKnight at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
