Basketball Recap: 25 Straight Home Victories for West Wendover

West Wendover came tearing into Saturday's contest with 13 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 69-56 win over the North Tahoe Lakers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 48-39 back in December of 2024.

West Wendover was led to victory by Adryan Carlos and Estaban Correa. Carlos went 8 of 16 on his way to 16 points in addition to eight rebounds and six steals, while Correa went 6 for 12 to rack up 18 points along with six assists and three steals. Carlos is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. Trea Hendriks was another key player, putting up nine points and seven rebounds.

West Wendover pushed their record up to 23-4 with the victory, which was their 25th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.2 points over those games. As for North Tahoe, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-9 record this season.
