Basketball Recap: East Comes Up Short

East was the 60-31 winner over Bayard Rustin when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The East Vikings opened the new year with a less-than-successful 55-44 loss to the Bayard Rustin Golden Knights. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

East's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Bayard Rustin, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-7 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East will square off against Downingtown West at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. East is facing Downingtown West at the right time seeing as Downingtown West is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Bayard Rustin, they will host Unionville at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
