Baseball Game Preview: Palmetto Christian Academy vs. Pinewood Prep Panthers

Palmetto Christian Academy will square off against the Pinewood Prep Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Palmetto Christian Academy has struggled recently with five defeats in a row, while Pinewood Prep will arrive with eight straight victories.

Palmetto Christian Academy fell victim to Northwood Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Chargers, falling 10-0.

Palmetto Christian Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cade Patrick, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Pinewood Prep beat Trinity Collegiate 10-6 on Thursday.

Carson Good was a standout: he scored three runs while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Grady Fuller, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4.

Pinewood Prep's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Palmetto Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.
