Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jaylon Williams and Tarik Fadel Mula Lead Pathways to Victory

Pathways was handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Arlington Christian on Thursday. The Pathways Eagles blew past Arlington Christian 79-57. The Eagles not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since January 17th.

Leading Pathways to victory were Tarik Fadel Mula and Jaylon Williams. Fadel Mula posted 17 points, while Williams had 17 points. The dominant performance gave Williams a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Magock, who put up 12 points.

Despite the defeat, Arlington Christian had strong showings from Chezi Essel, who shot 80% from the field to rack up 20 points along with seven boards and five steals, and Khalib Brooks, who went 7-for-12 on his way to 17 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds. Essel is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Tylon Adams, who shot 56% from the field en route to 10 points and seven assists.

Pathways' victory bumped their record up to 15-10. As for Arlington Christian, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-7.

Pathways didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, an 83-70 win against Bridge to Independence on the 28th. As for Arlington Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 85-68 victory against Mountain Mission on the 28th.
