Basketball Recap: Wyatt Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

If Wyatt was riding high fresh off their 50-22 takedown of North Side last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wyatt Chaparrals came up short against the Paschal Panthers on Friday, falling 42-21. The defeat continues a trend for the Chaparrals in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost four in a row.

Wyatt's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trinity Mitchell, who posted 13 points. That's the most points Mitchell has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Delaney Griggs, who earned four points along with six boards and three steals.

Wyatt's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-9. As for Paschal, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-12.

Wyatt has already played their next contest (against Polytechnic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Paschal has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against North Side.
