Given Lanier Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while Trinity Prep is ranked 469th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lanier Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jia Thapar led the charge by scoring 15 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Adelyn Gough, who scored 11 points.
Killian Hill Christian bumped their record down to 0-14 with that defeat, which was their 14th straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.2 points per game. As for Lanier Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.
