Baseball Game Preview: Mountain Range Mustangs vs. Northglenn Norsemen

Mountain Range has gone a perfect 4-0 against Northglenn recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Mustangs will venture away from home to square off against the Norsemen at 4:00 p.m. Mountain Range has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 17.

Mountain Range came into this matchup off a tough 14-run defeat last Wednesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Lakewood by a score of 8-6 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Northglenn came into Wednesday's contest having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 7-2 win over Rangeview on Wednesday.

Dom Ibarra was incredible, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Alonso Sandoval was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Northglenn's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Mountain Range, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

Mountain Range skirted past Northglenn 7-5 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Norsemen have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
