Football Game Preview: Ballantyne Ridge Wolves vs. Palisades Pumas

For the first time this season, Ballantyne Ridge will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will take on the Palisades Pumas at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.

Ballantyne Ridge unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were beaten by Butler 32-0 back in February.

Meanwhile, Palisades waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They took down Varsity Opponent 26-7.

The critical scores for Palisades came from Miracle Moore, Kamaria Hampton, Tynilla Simpkins, and Jamilah Jones.

Palisades didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Moore, Mariah Rushin, and Simpkins picked up one apiece. Simpkins has been hot recently, having also posted five or more total tackles the last three times she's played. She got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
