Soccer Game Preview: Dana Hills vs. Torrance

The Dana Hills Dolphins will face off against the Torrance Tartars at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Dana Hills is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They walked away with a 4-2 victory over Leuzinger. Considering the Dolphins' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Arroyo typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Torrance proved too difficult a challenge. They blew past the Knights 3-0. Given the Tartars' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 124th, while the Knights are ranked 400th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Torrance hit Arroyo with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Andy Alvardo, Ethan Ruelas, and Giancarlo Murrillo.

The win made it two in a row for Dana Hills and bumps their season record up to 9-4. As for Torrance, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.
