Basketball Recap: Tremont Eagles vs. Wheeler Eagles
Tremont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were dealt an 82-39 loss at the hands of the Wheeler Eagles. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against Tremont this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 62-33 back in December of 2024.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nathan Crenshaw, who went 7 for 12 on his way to 17 points and six rebounds. Those 17 points gave Crenshaw a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cooper Platt, who posted ten points.
Tremont's defeat dropped their record down to 5-20. As for Wheeler, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 17-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tremont will welcome Smithville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wheeler, they will be playing at home against East Union at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
