Baseball Recap: Franklin Learning Center Has No Trouble Against George Washington

The matchup between Franklin Learning Center and George Washington on Wednesday hardly resembled the 2-1 effort from their previous meeting. The Bobcats blew past the Eagles 20-6. For the Bobcats, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2017.

Sean Miguel was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Gabriel Martinez was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base.

Franklin Learning Center always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .526 or higher in four consecutive games.

Franklin Learning Center's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for George Washington, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.

Franklin Learning Center wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-7 loss against Tacony Academy Charter on the 1st. George Washington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
